Flash in the Can just announced its 2010 awards finalists, and BLITZ’s “Adobe Youth Voices Planting My Ideas” Web site was at the top of the list for its “Flash Visual Design” nomination.
Adobe Youth Voices (AYV) is designed to give children the critical skills that are needed to become active and engaged members within their communities, specifically as it relates to self-expression, creativity, digital literacy, and citizenship. For Planting My Ideas, BLITZ worked pro-bono with Adobe and The Black Eyed Peas to create an experience that would build global awareness around AYVís initiative, and hopefully, further its impact.
We wanted to illustrate the AYV philosophy that every idea starts with a seed, so this Flash experience invites each user to “grow” a unique flower that conveys a personal story and artistic journey by using pre-loaded images, personal photographs, a written narrative and mash-ups of existing Black Eyed Peas tracks.
Just like AYV, Flash in the Can strives to inspire, educate and challenge the mind through interactive events that connect different groups of people. Winners of this prestigious award will be announced at the Flash in the Can Awards Show on Monday, April 26th in Toronto, Canada.
Please keep your fingers crossed for us!
